Am trying to save house that father-in-law bought and we are making payments. Loan was sold before we even started making payments. Father-in-law said he never received a letter stating that we were to make the payments elsewhere. I was sending payments to the first place and they were lost in the shuffle of paperwork. One was found the others not. I called the they were trying to find them. No answer back. I mistakingly assumed they found all the payments. Now we are in foreclosure. I called their attorney and got a reinstatement figure. Monday is the last day we have to file paperwork with the court. We only have half of what they quoted us. Can we still get a workout or bring the loan current even if the court gives judgement against us. I thought it read in the Act 91 that we could reinstate the loan up to the day of the sherriff sale (which has not been set yet.) Is this true. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I only need to come up with $2,500 more. Our credit is not good right now. Is there anybody that makes short term loans to people with bad credit. They are asking for a little over $5,000 and we have $2,500 with another $1,000 by the end of the month.
