: Home located in Colorado. Home was repossed in Foreclosure.
There was some property damage in the home, burns to the
carpet and some holes in the walls and doors. Can the lender
take action against me in small claims court for carpet
replacement and other repairs to the home?

Joseph,

Your property damage description is a little too sketchy when you
use the word “some” to describe the number of carpet burns and
the number of holes there are in the walls and doors.

If the damage is excessive and the estimate cost to repair is high
you might see some retaliatory action taken by the lender,
especially if the lender ends up with the property for lack of any
bidders at the foreclosure auction.
