Which liens are removed from title will depend on thetype of the lien and the jurisdiction. Generally thefollowing is true:
1. Property tax liens are not removed from title.2. IRS tax liens have a federal ROR.3. Voluntary liens are cleared.4. The Mechanic's liens to which you refer are cleared.5. Most other involuntary liens are cleared. Note: Some jurisdiction give some level of precedence to some involuntary liens such as those associated with child support. These will be handled specially.
