Thanks Nick,
That's a pretty big help. From what I'm told, some counties in PA have a "problem" when a lien is filed. Many show with no problem but in some cases, mechanic liens are either filed incorrectly (or correctly) and do not appear for quite sometime. I'm just trying to eliminate as much "hidden Issues" as possible.
I had attended some Sheriff Sales quite a number of years back. It's amazing how much you forget over the years... I'll be running him down to the Townhip's Prothonotary's office tommorrow or Friday to see if we can do a search for ourselves.
Any other info from others (especially in PA) would be appreciated. Thanks Again Nick.

: Which liens are removed from title will depend on the: type of the lien and the jurisdiction. Generally the: following is true:
: 1. Property tax liens are not removed from title.: 2. IRS tax liens have a federal ROR.: 3. Voluntary liens are cleared.: 4. The Mechanic's liens to which you refer are cleared.: 5. Most other involuntary liens are cleared. Note: Some: jurisdiction give some level of precedence to some : involuntary liens such as those associated with child : support. These will be handled specially.
