sale to high bidder

Posted by Ken on December 17, 2003 at 06:45:16:

We found a property in the papers legal notices as a judgement to be sold to highest bidder on Jan. 7th. Not much time. It is in Illinois. It is Deustche Bank that has it. I know there is about 1300.00 in back taxes. property has been empty for a while. My main concern on making a bid are leins that we dont know about.
Can you go to the court records and find the info? Are there better ways to do it? Time is the problem.
The sale terms are 10% down and balance in 24 hrs. is that normal?
I'm new to this idea and a little spooked by it.
Thanks in advance, Ken
