We are in the same situation exactly. We have a house in McKinney TX (N Dallas) that has been on the market for 16 months now with no contract. We also relocated to another state for jobs. We currently have the home listed below payoff (short sale) and are now considering requesting a Deed in lieu of Foreclosure. Not sure if this helps at all, but you are not alone and I'll pray for your situation.
: Recently my spouse and I have taken jobs in a new state. We've attempted to sell our home in Texas for 4 months now, to no avail. We've lowered the price to the minimum, in order to walk away. No buyers, the market in N. Texas is flooded. On top of this the tax increases in Tarrant Cnty. have caused the mortgage payment to increase by $200.00 as of next month.
: We are like most Americans, three kids, car and house payments, living paycheck to paycheck. Pay the minimum on all cc's etc. Not behind, but not ahead either, no spare $$ for saving or retirement etc... we are considering walking away from the house. Let the bank have it back. We don't need to file bankruptcy (sp) but see no point in paying a mortgage on a home we no longer can live in, and cannot sell. I need some advice from someone that has foreclosed before, under the same circumstances, if there is anyone out there? Any wise words are welcome. Thank you Madge
