: How do I research tax liens on a property? Also, is it the auction winner's responsibility to evict? Thanks in advance.

:Neil. Got your message. Go to www.co.alameda.ca.us/treasurer/index.shtml. You can enter the APN or the street address for current tax information. I was just there and i did not see any way to check for past tax years. I would go down to the office and take a look at past years tax roll to see what is owed if any. If you buy at the auction, you will assume any and all past due taxes. So figure that in your evaluation of the property. Its all public record so they will look up the property for you and hand you a printout. Also figure that the next property tax is due in March so they will not pay it so add that also to your evaluation. This is what i think you are looking for. Bob
