Hi Von's:
What is the home's value? What is the current amount owed? There are several ways to sell the home. If you can contact me directly with more details, we can offer several solutions for you.
Thanks.
: Hi Gang,
: We are currently in chapter 13. We have a buyer for our home, but it is a family member. They are preapproved for 65% of $250,000. (Approved for $140,000) The arrears we owe on our home are approximately $50,000 and the total amount due is approximately $160,000. We can do a short sale in the state of New Jersey, but we are not certain if Washington Mutual will settle for $140,000? What do we do? A few months ago we were approved for $140,000, but the day of closing Washington Mutual asked for an additional $16,000. Because of this we had to refile BAnkruptcy a second time. We are uncertain what to do. Although we have a buyer this time we are fearful that Washington Mutual will still ask for more money. Where do we go from here? Please post your comments or send an email. Thanking you in advance... The Von's
