Foreclosure Law in MI

I just found out my home was sold at sheriff's sale on 11/17/04 and my redemption period ends on 5/17/05. The sale was originally set for 9/29/04. When the mortgage co. and myself thought that we had worked out a solution worked out the sale was stopped. What the mortgage co. had agreed to verbally was about $400 less than what they sent me a contract for. When I refused to sign this they basically severed all communication with me. No letters, no returned phone calls. The only way I found out that the sale had happened was by contacting the register of deeds in my county. I have researched with newspaper and found no new listing was posted regarding the 2nd sale date. Neither time was anything posted on my property. I live in Michigan, can someone please help me? I am running out of time fast!Hank
