In Texas the house is yours until it is sold on the steps of the courthouse on the first Tuesday of the month. Are you sure this was not done?

You then become a tenant at suffrance and are subject to the landlord tenant laws-- (1)Three day notice to vacate (2) Filing with JP. (3) Notice served by constable of Court date approx 10 days from filing. (4) Court appearance and inevitable loss in court. (5) 10 days to appeal and during this time no action can be taken. (6) File with Constable for Possession after the 10 day period. (7) Constable gives 7 (?) day notice to vacate or owner can remove your property. (8) If you are still there, the owner and his agents or crew can remove your property and place them at the curb or in storage. The constable is in attendance. To sale or otherwise dispose of the property more steps must be taken.

All these steps must be followed before your property is removed. There are, of course, a few exceptions, such as a landlord lien on the property and the tenant is behind in payments. But that would not apply to you.
