help in MN Foreclosure

Posted by leetha on April 24, 2005 at 11:22:24:

I need help in MN, I bought my house in Aug 2002 everything was going good until I got a little behind. then i met and married my husband whose name is not on the mortgage, he helped me get current on the house, then we found out that his job was laying him off and i was the only one working, it was hard to keep up with the payments with my daughter in daycare. then we found out that we were going to have another baby and i got sick and had to go down to part-time status at work now my new husband was job seeking at the time so we just couldn't make our payments on time, then in April of last year i broke my ankle and was out of work, we sent in payments from my disablity checks but found out that we were in forclosure and that they had sent the check back to us in March, well long story short we got out of foreclosure only to go right back into foreclosure in december. which we also got out of but are now back in. and we don't have the money to get out again and have started to look at other houses. And the Sheriff sale isn't until the 4th of May. We don't want to live here anymore but are nervouse about getting another mortgage. My husband is trying to get a mortgage on another house but his credit isn't perfect. so can anyone tell me what happens if the bank forecloses and it goes to the sheriff sale, what happens to my credit and does that go on my husband's.
