seeing the foreclosed house before bidding

I was wondering how I would go about seeing a foreclosed property before it goes up for bid. NJ Sheriff dept states that they do not arrange for a bidder to see the house in advance. Can you make arrangements to see the house with the current owner or the current owner’s lawyer? Any advice?
