Complaint against WAMU

April of 2004, I called our mortgage company, Washington Mutual, because we were 2 months behind on our mortgage. We could make our regular payment but not the past due. I was referred to their loss mitigation department, and after 5 months of the run around (they misplaced our entire financial packet, we were told to stop paying our mortgage if we wanted help with this department, our home went into foreclosure. This was followed by 2 more months of non response on their end until I was told that my file would be put on the bottom of a pile if I was not more patient. At this point, I was finally put in touch with a VP, and 2 days later, we had a loan modification in the mail.
This is just the tip of the iceberg of my dealings with WAMU, and now that we have since sold our home, I have filed a complaint with the AZ Attorney General and the AZ Department of Banking. They both in turn forwarded our complaint on to the U.S. Treasury's Office of Thrift Supervision.
For those of you who are familiar with banking laws and the Consumer Fraud Act, can I expect this department to look at this seriously, or do I not have a case?
