HI. I purchased a home that was auctioned off on Aug. 1st. As far as I know, the owners are still there. Are they required to leave when the deed is transferred to me? Do I need to get an eviction notice to get them out? Is there a time period that I need to give them or do I go in there with my 12 ga. swinging? just kidding on that last part! If I do get the deed, I assume I am allowed to go into MY house if they are not around and look things over...maybe take video or pictures to show condition of house if they decide to wreck it if I evict them....assuming I get deed in my name of course. Just trying to cover my butt if things go sour. I bought this for myself to live in and fix up. I would love to get in there as soon as possible after closing and such. Is getting a lawyer lined up necessary at this point? I would love to avoid conflict...but I really don't think that is possible. I thank-you dearly for information provided in response to this post.
