: I had to file bankruptcy on my home in Beech Grove, Indiana because I lost my job due to illness and was unable to make the payments. The house was foreclosed on and it went on the Sheriff's sale last month where it sold for $90,019.00. I had a judgememt on me for $85,296.00. My question is after my judgement is paid in full will I get the balance of $4722.00 or what will happen to that amount?*******************************

If purchased by a third party and all rights of redemption are over (if any) the general rule is that should there be any money extra left over after paying off everyone in line, yes, the owner gets the amount remaining. The question would be if all the debts have been paid with this amount. Did your judgement include all late fees, attorney costs, etc?
