Without knowing the extent of your unsecured debt...you might consider a Chapter 7 and walk. Start fresh.
If you decide to walk away... you could, after declaring bankruptcy, offer a deed in lieu of foreclosure to your lender..in exchange for minimalizing the damage to your credit report. I wouldn't pay the property taxes. They'll be paid by your lender.
