We realize our situation was atypical. However, I feel it is important to let others know that it can happen for them too under the same situation. I don't think that everyone who visits this page has lost everything due to foreclosure, especially if they are already interested in knowing how long before they can own their own home again. One year ago today I felt I had lost everything, including my will to live because my home was taken from me. I was at the lowest point in my life EVER. It is important for others out there who may find themselves in a similar situation that there is hope to go on and have your dreams and strive for what you want. I did not have anyone giving me any positive feedback or advice. Once I came to my senses and brushed myself off and took a look at the whole picture and decided to not take NO for an answer, did I finally find people who were willing to look at me as a worthy person who should be given another chance. I know there are others out there like me.
Your situation is/was atypical. Not many folks could sock away $20,000(?) or $30,000(?) in six short months for a downpayment. Most folks who lost their home to foreclosure lost their savings, and and their source of income. Most folks lucky enough to find new employment took jobs that offered lower pay....
: For most, the process requires a conscientious effort to rebuild their credit and save their pennies.
