Lisa: I agree 100% with your last statement. Trying to do what Dave suggests is going to cause you a lot of work and frustration. Anyway, you probably can't get all of that done before the Sheriff sells it. You don't owe anybody anything with regards to that home. Just concentrate on getting moved somewhere where you'll enjoy living again.
: The second will have to come out of the foreclosure sale. I included them in my BK7, and my lawyer said I won't have to replay it.
: I need to avoid getting a 1099. A short sale would give me one.
: I don't know much about a D-I-L of foreclosure.
: My credit is shot from the BK7.
: I have though about this for a long time.
: I really don't want to live here anymore. My home has damage from vandalism. The carpet they used was very cheap and needs to be replaced in the main room, and the kitchen floor is shot, again cheap materials. I already had to have the furnace fix as it broke, after 3 years??? None of the doors are "square". The home was built to "code", a code I am not aware of....
: I dont have the $$$ to fix it up.
: I moved in 2002, the home should not be showing such defects, but the workmanship is very poor. I tried to have the program address these issues, but it was like talking to a brick wall. Several people in this program have lost their homes. One home was built on a "lot" of radon gas, and had to be fixed for a lot of $$$, and the program did nothing.
: It is better I leave and make a new life elsewhere.
