Depends upon your state's Right of Redemption. Some states have none, some a few days or months and, in Alabma, the Right of Redemption extends for 12 months.
If your state offers no ROR, you could purchase the home conventionally (make an offer and finance the purchase) or ask a friend or family member to buy it, and lease it to you....
