Bankruptcy

We have looked over all of our options and it looks like bankruptcy is the
only one left for us to do.
My question is this: Do I dare tell my creditors that we are filing?
We have spoken with an attorney but have not filed as of yet.
We are hoping to do a 13.

Any advice will be appreciated.
