I am interested in buying a property at its Trustee Sale/Auction, but I am concerned about acquiring a full and clean title, without liens and encumbrances.
How do I guard against a "clouded" title? Is a title search the best way to protect myself? Is it necessary? How do I get a title search performed? How much does it cost?
