foreclosure

i own a condo in il and have been working with my mortgage company to refinance (i am four months behind on my mortgage payments). last week, the mortgage consultant (from the company) told me that my mortgage was in foreclosure, yet, i have received nothing from them. two questions: how fast will the foreclosure move, and when and how will i be notified?
