Julie,

Normally, property will pass from parents to children, but you state the property was left to you.

Since your Mother was talking with the lender in March, I'm assuming she is still involved in some way at this time.

My questions:
Who is on title as owning the property?
If your grandmother is still on title, is the estate tied up in probate?
Are the loan payments current, or have they been unpaid?

I believe that info is necessary before taking a shot at answering your question.
