Foreclosure info.

My father has a moblie home that he is no longer able to afford. He was told by the people that he financed it through that if he walks away from the home that he would owe the difference of what the bank could sell it for. Is there any truth to that? Also if anyone knows of another solution other than foreclosure it would be greatly appreciated.
