I've been helping homeowner's since 2004 with loan mods before this huge nightmare of a mess that we have with foreclosures right now. You're right Steele in MN..... you have to be careful with some companies and people out there. Just check them out! I can tell you most likely you were denied on your modificaton because you have a deficit. It's usually pertaining to your financials and they are submitted incorrectly. I remember a homeowner calling me a few months ago and she had been trying to get a modification with Countrywide for 8 months and they wouldn't budge. She had her income and expenses all screwed up. Homeowner's think if they have more expenses than income then they will get approved a modification. You cannot have a huge deficit because if you do then in the eyes of the lender, you really cannot afford your mortgage payment let alone a modification.
