That isn't exactly how it has gone. Don't make assumptions. If you will recall, I bought House #1, not my husband. My husband and I both loved the house and still do. When we decided to move 1-1/2 hours away (from Kokomo, IN to Fort Wayne, IN), he wanted to buy a fixer-upper. We have tried to sell the house in Kokomo without any luck whatsoever. I am supervising the fixing on House #2 and will put it on the market as soon as it is done. I do not intend to move to North Carolina where he is now working until House #2 sells. Houses in Fort Wayne are selling and selling for good prices.

That still leaves us with House #1. We are not going to buy a house in North Carolina because we plan to rent for at least 1 1/2-2 years before doing that. However, the house in Kokomo (House #1) is going to become an albatross since we will be living 10-1/2 hours away.
