Is there equity in the property that you'd be giving up by walking away?
What is the cost of rental housing in your area versus the cost of your current payment?
To give a decent answer, I'd need to know those two factors.
: behind 3 payments to first mortage. taxes deliquent. 2nd mortage current.---now on fixed income. can,t catch up. what happens if i just quit trying and walk ? start over ? would give me 1000.00 a month. i scaled down to nothing--but can,t catch up. disabilty income. 20050 a month.
