scared and running out of time...

We live in Michigan, our home has already been foreclosed, sold back to the lender and we are in the redemption period. Our redemption is over as of March 19 ( where do I go to make sure this is the right date ) . We are currently looking for new housing. We have two children and one on the way. We ran into bad luck last winter when my husband was laid off and unemployed for 6 months. He is a painter and makes excellent wages but the lender refuses to deal with us any longer. If we do determine that the redemption period does expire as of March 19 would it be safe to hold out until March 1st to move or is that pushing it? When can I expect the Sheriff Dept. to come knocking and set our stuff out? If we ahd the extra month to save that would be great. I just don't want to push it and have my kids witness anything traumatizing. Thank you for your help.
