What happens if the property does not sell at the sheriff's sale? (MICHIGAN) Does it just get turned over to the bank holding the mortgage? Our property goes up for sale on the 17th, I understand it is one of very many being sold that day (Detroits numbers are out of control). We have had the house valued at $289,000 listed at $264,900; $259,900; $255,900; and now at $239,900 for the past year with no interest. Even investors are backing off in this area.
