A trustee's sale can be held in any public place. It will be designated in the Notice of Trustee's sale. Typically companies conducting sales will hold the sale at various times at the same place such as the courthouse steps. Refer to the NTS. Note that it is not the inhabitants of building doing the sale, it is done by various posting and publishing companies.
