All: I know this sounds the same as everyone else....have a property in WV, pretty close to having to let it go. Questions: I live in another state--can they do a def. judgement? Would it affect property only in WV, or other states, too? I have a first and a second, and have 20K in the property. But, market is soft, and I would have to come to the table with 10K without a realtor fee and 30K (approx) using a realtor if it even did sell. It is a new house. It has been on the market for some time. The WV house is in my name only, not my husband's. My husband is the only one on title for our primary house. Can they go after him, too, if there was a def. judgement? I will try to talk with the bank about DIL, short sale, etc, but what are the best ways to go about this with a first and second? I am running out of time and want to try to do the best I can without going into foreclosure.
