Could have SOLD; they delay foreclosure & didn't tell me!

My home was on the market and I had a contract, pending the buyer getting a renter. Mortgagor told my realtor to end contract; take her lockbox and sign; that it was going to foreclosure sale the 1st Tuesday in March. IT DIDN'T! I got a notice that it was going the 1st Tuesday in April. I COULD HAVE SOLD IT BY NOW - my buyers could have had renters by now! I may not have to have a foreclosure on my record! (BTW, I am already out of the house). Please tell me what I can do about this...
