Alexis has been around for quite a while and has a lot of loyal followers. While I may not agree with everything she teaches I have found her to be honest and ethical and would not put her in the "guru" catagory.
One fun thing about her site is that she has a "gurus to avoid" section where she allows people just like yourself to give their reviews on various real estate people.

He does his own review of people and is quite ruthless. Of course, others will point out that he has his own stuff to sell as well.
But I get a kick out of him.
Short story long, there are lots of gurus out there. Especially right now. Most aren't worth didley (IMHO).
Alexis is OK.
