Not necessarily true. I just checked my TransUnion credit score as I had a foreclosure on a home which would not sell back in February due to job loss/divorce/life events. I tried everything in my power to sell, short sale, DIL and it seemed it was just meant to be that a foreclosure was an event I had to deal with. My credit score via TransUnion is 717 and my Experian is 623. Granted that FC will be on my credit report for several years, but I have a roof over my head and life goes on. Some things in life aren't easy and this definitely was anything but.
