I live in California and would like to know the steps and timeframe on foreclosure. I have a home and I have been behind almost for a whole year. I make a good income but each month I am short to get caught up, so it has carried over to the next month. My lender has worked with me and I don't know if they can wait another month, since this has been ongoing. I would like to keep the home. My credit is completely ruined and borrowig from family is not an option. I am pretty sure that this month the lender will begin foreclosure proceedings. CAn someone please tell me what the steps are and the timeframe and also, if the foreclosure begins, can you stop it and how. I would appreciate it. Thank you.
