Foreclosure Issue - Need immediate help

I am a personal representative of my mother's estate (her home). My father has what is called, in Florida, a "life estate". They had a mortgage on the property (2nd mortgage) that is listed in their names. My father has not paid the mortgage in 5 months and I was notified, only of the foreclosure proceedings. What can be done? My moms name is the only name on the property deed. I was not home when they served me notice and have not been able to reach the person who left me the notice to call.
