Foreclose and pocket mortage payments?

We are in a sub-prime loan, we owe more now on the house then it's worth. Experts are prediciting in the next two years prices will continue to decline. It's getting harder and harder to make mortgage payments it seems. We still have a 1yr and a half at our current rate. The house is in riverside CA. We are pretty much fed up with the cost of living. We have family in Dallas TX that moved out there two years ago from CA, and they love it. There begging us to move there and to stay with them in there 7 bedroom house. It's very tempting to poacket our mortage payments and leave the housing sinking hole. any advice thanks.
