Decide what you want to do (keep it, sell it, etc.) Be truthful, and don't make any promises you can't keep.
Formally request a workout application, and keep a detailed record of your conversations and any correspondence you send, or receive. Don't send original documents, and expect the lender will lose whatever you send it. Make copies.
