this is new to us, and we're scared

here it is....we fell victim to the predatory lending scheme. Struggling to make monthly payments (always a month behind - but making them---barely food on the table ...3 kids etc). Never had enough money to pay the property taxes or the HOA fees. Just received a notice to appear in court for the HOA fees. This is a HUGE drain, and I'm feeling so defeated. To end the nightmare, do I just let them take the house under foreclosure, and if I do, what happens to the property tax (which I will pay of course), and the HOA fees? Can I just let them take the house or will the HOA continue to follow me?

Just want out of this house, I'll rent a house....this is my biggest nightmare. I will also claim chapter 7. Any advice?
