foreclosure on rental property

We live in Indiana. in 2005 we refinanced on the rental. the appraiser for the bank appraised it on the high end to push the loan thru. it is an arm. long story short...can't afford it anymore. was sent deed in lue, filled it out and sent back. in the mean time..still going thru foreclosure. my question is..if foreclosure goes thru, can they come after our primary residence, garnish wages, take our tax returns? i am more worried about primary residence and garnishments. this is all thru emc mortgage. also when i knew i wasn't goin to be able to make payments i called emc to let them know. even after i was 3 months behind i asked about defurments, forbarence, paying 200. less a month on the payment. they said no no no...then i get calls from them saying i qualify for those. but when i call them out on them, they change their tune. even sent me a brochure on all of it with the court summons. but yet don't want to follow thru when i call. i am at a loss. any info would be gladly appreciated
