There should be no impact on your credit given that the loan is in your ex-husband's name only. And, unfortunately, no, you will not be given the right to buy the property from the lender. But, if you have a good enough relationship with your ex-husband to buy the home from him and take over the mortgage, that might be a possibility. Is he in foreclosure now? Would he consider selling his half to you?

: i am half owner of a property in ca. my ex husband is not paying the mortgage payments .i am not on the loan. how will foreclosure affect me? will i be offered an opportunity to buy the house from the lender??
