Frankly, a week is not a big deal. Expect someone to contact you regarding the house and your plans for leaving. Just tell them the timetable. It will normally cost them alot less to wait a week than go through the eviction process.

They might even offer to give you a move out allowance if you leave the house in clean condition and have all (and I mean ALL) your stuff out. This is referred to as "cash for keys".

Now every area is slightly different. But I think you have at least a week. With all the foreclosure files these lenders have it is usually a week to 10 days just to let the local contact know to check on the occupancy of the house.

You may not see anyone before you leave.
