I'd add that depending on how busy your county clerk is with filings, the confirmation of sale will take somewhere between 3-6 weeks to process the Sheriff's deed and file and serve a writ of posession of you are still occupying the home after that time. But regardless, don't wait until the last minute.

Better to make other living arrangements long before that happens to avoid the sheriff showing up to forcefully evict you and your belongings.
