Unfortunately Countrywide, Wells Fargo and a number of others have the same message for real estate agents.

"We are no longer looking for agents." Some may still let you sign up with your information, others won't even let you do that.

With all the REO agent courses out there these companies have been flooded with wannabees. And they don't want beginners. Most have long established relationships with experienced agents that they trust. And it can take years to build this trust.

Been there, done that. Now, my timing was just about perfect. I had done bank owned properties many years ago and then came back to them about 5 years ago after being asked by several banking interests to get back in the field. Little did we know the foreclosure wave was coming. It took about 2 years to reestablish myself out there. I signed up with all the BPO mills to get noticed and gradually did.

Today there are tons of training programs making all kinds of promises. Frankly most of them are hype at best and BS at worst. There is some good stuff out there but with all the crap it's hard to wade through and find the goodies.

You may want to check out some of the professional organizations out there. It's a good place to start.
