Never a good idea to just stick your head in the sand and let the chips fall where they may.

Offer to give the home back to the lender. Try to sell it for whatever it might sell for, and ask yourlender to accept proceeds from sale as payment in full.

If the loan was originated in violation to federal or state lending laws, you may be able to compel the lender to agree to a favorable resolution.
