Thanks for sharing. Just a note, your credit won't be toast for 7 years. Foreclosures are reported for 7 years, but you can purchase real estate in 3-4 years, other credit impacts will be as little as two years. Additional hoops to jump through for a real estate purchase, but I'm guessing it's going to be a real common scenario in the near future.
