The first mistake many people commit when dealing with their mortgage lender is to assume they have any clue as to what is, or is not in the lender's best, financial interest.

The truth is, we don't know.

If I were to tell you your loan carried private derivitive/performance insurance... which would make the mortgage holder whole in the event of foreclosure and loss.... would that come as a surprise?

There is no "right person" at CW... there are no short cuts, no magical cures, etc. A workout is an assemblyline like process.

If you feel your loan or the loan's origination had predatory characteristics, or was made in violation to state or federal lending law... you may be able to compell the lender to halt the foreclosure proceedings while the allegation is investigated.
