If they are turning you down for cause, why would someone else suddenly be successful?
So many of these mortgage rescue companies are out there making huge promises, it's almost dangerous to make a recommendation. Everyone sounds like the greatest thing since sliced bread. And then they get closed down by the state Attorney General.
Two more just went under in my state (article is here on the site).
Whoever you talk to, check them out thoroughly before giving any money.
Most states have public help and non-profit groups. Always look for those as well. They are not trying to sell you something.
