If someone is still there they would probably do an eviction as fast as they can. You should contact the local county sheriff office as they normally do this work in order to get an idea of timetable. Believe me, they will have the answer for you as they are doing foreclosure evictions on a regular basis.
After the party is legally removed the new owner will just rekey. The old keys are meaningless. When we find them in a house the bank has taken back in my area we just throw them away. But to be frank, we rarely see any.
