I have successful negotiations with the banks only because I know how to talk to them and make a deal. It depends on many things. Who is your lender? Have you broken down your financial income and expenses with someone to determine where you are financially? Do you really want to leave the house? Do you want to fight for it? Is your judgement of your divorce (JOD) hindering your ability to stay in the home? Do you have any income?
